Light rail service between Seattle and the Eastside will start March 28, a long-overdue connection that will provide congestion-free rides across Lake Washington to work, entertainment, college, sports events and the airport.
Trains on this new 7.4-mile segment will carry passengers between South Bellevue and International District/Chinatown Stations, with new stops at Mercer Island and Judkins Park. The trip along the former I-90 express lanes should take about 13 minutes.
