Sound Transit will make progress this week to open eight light-rail stations in Redmond and Bellevue, by launching practice runs Wednesday morning.
Trains will be sporadic at first, as operators and dispatchers of the East Link starter line familiarize themselves. In a couple of months they’ll increase to “simulated revenue service” where trains go every 10 minutes between Redmond Technology Station and South Bellevue Station, where passenger trips begin spring 2024.
