A 36-year-old man survived being struck by a light rail train Sunday afternoon and was taken to Harborview Medical Center.

The Seattle Fire Department responded to a report at 1:07 p.m. of a scooter collision with a train at Martin Luther King Jr. Way South and South Dawson Street, near Columbia City Station. Crews treated the man, whose condition was reportedly stable, Fire Department spokesperson David Cuerpo said.

Service on the 1 Line was delayed for an hour.

Trains shared one track at Columbia City and began operating normally at 2:10 p.m., said David Jackson, a public information officer at Sound Transit.
