Sound Transit will take advantage of a Seahawks road trip to repair a cracked rail Sunday in downtown Seattle, which will cause an all-day closure at five stations.

In addition, this is a rare weekend when the Washington State Department of Transportation has scheduled no daytime blockages on its Seattle-area freeways.

The trackwork Sunday, Nov. 16, affects Westlake, Symphony, Pioneer Square, International District/Chinatown and Stadium stations. Shuttle buses will travel every 10 to 15 minutes between Capitol Hill and SODO stations, stopping on street level at the five closed stations. Many people can bypass the area quicker on regular bus routes, which are listed at https://st.news/AlternativeRoutes.
