Sound Transit temporarily closed its Beacon Hill Link light rail station to passengers Wednesday morning after a routine systems test revealed a mechanical issue with the facility’s fan and ventilation system.
King County Metro shuttle buses are temporarily replacing the 1 Line train service between the Sodo and Mount Baker stations. Those buses are arriving about every 10 minutes, and Sound Transit fare ambassadors and security workers are stationed along the route to answer passengers’ questions, Sound Transit spokesperson Henry Bendon said.
